Santa Fe GP9u 2244 switches the piggyback facility on Stephen M. Priest’s St. Louis Division layout. This layout and many other fine examples of modeling will be on tour during the convention.
Bruce, as the photographer, and I, as the modeler, describe our quest to take a photo for the 2018 NMRA Calendar. We talk about building the scene, lighting, camera positions, exposures and F-Stops. There were many trials and errors we experienced in the process of just taking a “simple” photograph. Once the photo shoot was over Bruce worked in Photoshop with all the pictures he took. After two four hour photo sessions and hours of work in Photoshop we ended up with a product that failed to get into the calendar, but it is still a wonderful photograph. In fact, it made an appearance in the March, 2018 NMRA Magazine.
