"The Owen Sound sub northwest of Toronto was opened in 1873 by the Toronto, Grey and Bruce Railway as a narrow gauge line. The railway soon ran into financial difficulty and was taken over by Grand Trunk Railway in 1881. GT promptly converted the line to standard gauge and almost as promptly ran into financial difficulty. CPR assumed control of the sub late 1883. The sub is now a distant memory, the last train having run on Halloween 1995.

The sub as it was in the 1870s (narrow gauge) and 1890s (standard gauge) is rich in opportunities for modelling and operations. I will illustrate these and present photographs, timetables and information the line and equipment from the nineteenth century."
